☀️ is my new best friend!

Now I know that the sun is bad for us and our skin is more sensitive to the suns rays when on immune suppressents but..... I have just come back from 10 days in the ridiculous hot French heatwave and in the whole 10 days I for the first time in years felt alive! Not so much pain not so many painkillers and yes the heat did my head in but I felt so much better in a warmer climate! If only sunshine and log cabins could be prescribed I would be so much happier! Now I’m back home the usual creeping aching fatigue is creeping back in!

You are a fortunate person!

I hate the hot weather and it makes me feel terrible. My hands and feet swell and are even more painful than before, my head feels thick and muzzy and stupid. I can't exercise enough to keep everything moving except in the water, and even then my mind feels foggy.

I’m with you old timer hot weather makes me look like Michelin man😂I swell up hands, feet, face, knees you name it. I was 5 pounds heavier on Saturday when it was hot 🥵 and joints hurt

Me too, the hot weather is not good for me, I find it even more exhausting than usual and the joints swell even more.

Used to love the sun, but like others find I become uncomfortable with more pain and swelling. Hope you continue to be able to enjoy the sun, and lovely you got some reprieve from pain. 😊

I love the sun too. Makes me feel so much brighter in myself, so happier. Unfortunately, the heat in the uk brings with it humidity which isn’t great for my ankles and feet, but, would still pick that over the relentless grey and gloom from November to April. Next plan, Algarve for a couple of months in January and February ☀️☀️☀️

I so agree oKerrio. I crave warm, sunny days. I don't have to do anything special to enjoy the freedom from nagging fatigue, pain and endless illnesses that the cold and damp weather brings. I really am a different person in better weather; you and I need houses in the sun!

Hi! I live in Brazil and I'm not happy with this tropical weather. What do you say we make a house swap for a week or two? 😉

I’m in the heat at the moment 38 degrees

My ankles and hand are quite swollen and I’m exhausted from the heat

It’s still nice to see it warm and sunny though 😎

I agree and we had 2 holidays a year, i'm fair but kept out of direct sunlight my GP thinks should be available on NHS as should prescriptions for golf days too.

I find humid moist heat awful , but , having dry heat although tricky to manage with rashes and fair skin I feel better generally , lowered pain and stiffness..

Funny isn't it how we are all different. I don't fancy another grey winter like last year but can't afford a home abroad . Ah well, I'll just have to dream eh?

Hot weather suits me very well but not over 36°. I feel like me again. We had three weeks away and I can honestly say I felt normal, whatever that is. Returning home upset my back and it's still perishing uncomfortable. If I sold a grandchild or three I could get a small place in the sun perhaps?
