MTX and Asthma

Hi

I have chronic hay fever and I use a ventolin pump for about 2 weeks mid summer . I’m feeling very dizzy when I use it more than usual . I was told MTX would be ok . Feeling fed up of being ill all the time #

If you are dizzy after using more Ventolin (salbutamol), it's probably not the methotrexate, but just because of too much Ventolin (from personal experience).

If you are needing to use it that often you probably need a review of your asthma medication and might need a longer acting inhaler or improved treatment of your hay fever. I find that adding in the sodium cromoglicate eye drops regularly, my asthma has been much better controlled. It seems daft but it works!
