Hi! I have a swollen and slightly red/hot calf, had it for several days now, should I see my dr? It’s better once I’m up and about but doesn’t seem to be improving.

Best to have it checked out today. I would ring for an appointment with my GP this morning. If they don't have one , tell the receptionist you have a hot swollen calf and a chronic illness.

I would definitely say see your GP ASAP to rule out DVT. Nic x

Please get it checked out urgently. I had something similar which turned out to be a cyst at the back of my knee which burst but they had to scan it. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Good luck.

I hope by now you’ve done something about it? GP, phone 111 or A&E....

All’s well! Been to doc and it’s fine, just a bit of strain. Thanks for your concern 😊

Phew! Thank goodness for that. It’s always best to get it checked out. Hope it soon feels better. A friend of mine with sciatic pain went to her dr’s the other day. She told him that she had a really bad area behind her knee. The dr asked her to stand up, he went behind her & hit the back of her knee with his knee. She said her language was rather ripe 🤬🤬 but I’ve never heard of a dr doing that! School bullies maybe, but a dr?
