Hi has anyone had this on they legs or any other part of your body.. Im trying to understand it better an i am very confused... I have been getting this only once a month an it last about 7to 8days and im not sure what it is as i did a full blood test and there is nothing showing up. My doctor says everything is clear an he doesn't know whats causing it. But it is getting worse. What can i do? It starts of like dots small an then gets bigger spreading an affects my ankles only an then my feet starts to swell up an im unable to move my leg.. Feeling paralyzed.. Not sure if it is part of arthritis

What does your rheumatologist say ?

If the GP doesn't know then s/he should be referring you onto someone who might.

I would have to say a trip to the e r would be in order if that were my foot/leg. That could be an allergic reaction to your meds. You should not look like that I don't believe. Then I would go to my Rhemy and have him run some real tests again.

Goodness me, has vasculitis been ruled out? There are many different types and some are quite rare. Most types are more common in older people so I do wonder if this is something that is being overlooked. Next time this happens, you absolutely MUST go to A&E. Promise us you will go please, you shouldn't have to be suffering like this.

It's possible that arthritis is causing the symptoms. Inflammation can look like that but so many other things can, too. Limited movement "could" be from the swelling. Wouldn't hurt to ask for a second opinion or a dermatologist.

When you say your “doctor” is that the GP or your rheumatologist? As GPs know little about these sorts of diseases. One question to ask is whether the blood tests that were done would have included teats for lupus and whether that has been ruled out.

You need to push your doctors to investigate further. Personally I wouldn’t go to A&E, as this is for life threatening emergencies, and if this has been happening for months then it is something more complex.

Vasculitis was my first thought. I believe it's fairly common with RA. Definitely get it checked out!

Yes, I too was thinking possibly Rheumatoid Vasculitis, which I have. Definitely show it your Rheumy. I suffered for over a year with my rash and as soon as Rheumy saw it she said "That's Rheumatoid Vasculitis" and immediately started treatment.

I was just skimming through pictures on a dermatological website looking for something else, and came across a picture that looked a bit like yours. It was a picture of polyarteritis nodosa. Also related to autoimmune. You might google it to see if you think it looks similar to your condition.
