I find that a hot shower, 10 mg ibuprofen gel and a hot water bottle helps shoulder and knee pain. Before I go on holiday I get a prescription for prednisalone in case I get worse and my holiday is ruined

Hydroxy was a slow one for me, so probably a couple of months before I really noticed the difference. sorry!

For me it was cold for knees and warm for shoulders. I would ask for a short course of oral steroids to cover for holiday. I cannot remember how long hydroxy took to work but think it is nearer a couple of months rather than weeks.

Bless you for being able to work at all with this disease. By your tone, sounds like stress is your big trigger here. Stress is what caused the onset of my RA. I find that my drug regime is working not too badly but one day of anxiety can dull the effects of my meds. That's just me. Good air in, bad air out.😊
