Started Benepali - dont feel good..

Had my first Benepali injection today and feeling nauseous, head achy and really tired with ++achy joints. I was already not feeling good before inj so could be psychosomatic but it feels similar to when i had Mtx which made me really ill over a matter of weeks and months so that I couldnt take it. Putting any new drug in system is bound to make some people feel bit bad sometimes and obviously am going to persevere as not had any medication thats really helped yet since diagnosis 2 yrs ago so really hoping this will help. But just wondered if others got this?

Stick with it, I felt exactly the same for the first few weeks but it does get better. Then you will notice that the Benepali is starting to work. Keep going!

Really? That's good to know. I think after a horrid experience with Mtx I was wondering if this was going to be the same. I will of course give it a good go and hope it gets easier. Thanks

I have been on Benepali for over a year now. It has certainly been a big benefit for my symptoms. I have taken Methotrexate ( oral) in the past so know exactly what you mean about the nausea. I take Benepali just before bed so any possible headache or nausea feelings will be pretty much slept off. Try to go into it with a positive frame of mind so that you relax.
