Good evening everyone - My daughter has AS and was diagnosed about a year ago. She has been on Humira which seems to be helping her tremendously. I recently heard that AS is not treatable with Rituxan, but rather another drug similar to Rituxan. Just wondering in case she ever needs another form of treatment.

If she's doing well on Humira then don't fret. Some people stay on it forever and don't need to change. Plus, new drugs are being developed all the time so what's available today may not be relevant when she needs it.

But anyway, here's the page from the AS group with the recommended biologics

Hi there. I have to agree with helix, I hear all the time about someone being on the same drug for many, many years, like 8 - 10 even.

I recently had to switch from Rituxan back to Actemra due to an increase in Vasculitis activity and I would give (almost) anything to have my Rituxan back. Personally I found it a great drug, extremely effective.
