Jaw getting better but

Jaw pain getting better but now everytime I eat, it clicks and grinds

will that get better too?

it really puts me off when chewing the sound of it

When did problems with your jaw start? And have you had it checked by a dentist?

my jaw is RA the rheumy told me it was in my right jaw, since being on tablets-meds the pain has gone there but as I said not crunching sound when I eat is left

I see them on the 25th the rheumy so will bring it up then

Great. Sounds like they know what is going on then. It could be that where the RA has affected your right TMJ, it’s thrown the balance of the left one...if you see what I mean? Basically your TMJs are like ball and socket joints. So if they are not working in harmony you get those horrible ‘graunching’ noises as you chew. Which of course sounds a hundred times worse to you because they are right next to all your Aural receptors....or your earholes😉. So, what I suggest is next time you go to rheumy or dentist you mention the problem and gently ask if you could be referred to a hospital dental department so a maxillo facial or occlusal specialist can have a look and maybe correct it with a bite guard. 😃

I have had this problem on and off since I was fourteen years old and it can be most aggravating, but over time (about fifty years) I have got used to it. I have been to the maxilo facial unit at the hospital and they have said that I could have an operation to try to improve things but it may not work. I have decided against it as I have so many other problems and I imagine it would not be a very nice op to have done. I wish you luck with yours.
