Waiting to start new meds.

I have been waiting for a few months now to start my new meds but because I have picked up a few infections they kept getting put off until I am well enough to start them. They won’t give me a steroid injection either until I’m fully better, my question is I’m sick of popping pain killers, after a while they seem far to harsh on my tummy, has any one tried the pain killer patches and is it something I could get from my doctor or would my rheumy have to give it to me?

Hello, I have a very sensitive stomach and don't like to swallow medication. Growing up in an European country I am familiar with suppositories, which cause almost no stomach problems. I have asked my GP in the past and there are pain killers in the form of suppositories available in the UK if you insists long enough. You'll get used to them very quickly. All the best and a good 2019.
