Can anyone recommend a good NHS rheumatologist in London, preferably West London, specialising in rheumatoid arthritis?
London rheumatologist: Can anyone recommend a good NHS... - NRAS
London rheumatologist
St George's Hospital in SW17 has a good Rheumatology Department
Of course it depends on which Consultant you see.
Unless you know somebody who has a good Rheumy your best option is to ask your GP.
Guys hospital have good dept. I see Professor David D Cruz
Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith. Dr Mackworth Young. Very kind and very experienced. Good luck.
I agree. I have very aggressive RA, and interstitial lung disease. Professor Mackworth Young is very thorough and caring, and the Senior Specialist Nurse, Antonia Greeves, is very supportive. I’ve also been told that Dr Youngstein at Hammersmith Hospital is very good. She’s a good deal younger, so lacks the experience of CMY, but may be more cutting edge.
I hope that helps.
Hammersmith Hospital, Dr Ben Ellis, transferred over from Charing Cross hospital. Very good and the nursing team are great as well.
Hi there. I have had 3 suggestions but haven't chosen one yet. They are Mr Charles Mackworth-Young at Charing X, Dr Ben Ellis at Hammersmith and Dr Henry Penn at Northwick Park.
Best of luck
