Which infusion

I am in need of some advice. I have RA seropositive and Fibromyalgia. I thought I had it under control the last few months. But I think I might be in a flare. My body hurts to touch! I am taking plaquenal and cymbolyta for RA and the Fibromyalgia. Already had methotrexate and leflomide, was not working. What infusion is the best??

Have a look at the treatment pages on the NRAS website. There are quite few now and they work on different parts of the immune system, so it isn't a case of which one is best, but which one is best for your particular brand of Rheumatoid Disease! You need to discuss this with your medical team, but go armed with information.

Only your medics can tell you what may be suitable.

What helps others will not necessarily help you.

Thats true, I was just trying to see if there is a more common one to start with.

Not really.....your physicians will know why your past drugs haven't worked & will include all that information & your present condition, when they decide what to offer,

For instance, I'd had cancer & I was only given the choice of two Biologcs that were thought suitable. But some have far many to choose from.

Look at what you are offered,& if all things are equal you can choose whichever fits your lifestyle. I chose 6 monthly infusions, but that might not be everyone's choice,

Thank you, I to have tried Methotrexate, made me really sick. I have notice a change on only my left side of face, keeps breaking out. I am wondering if it is from the plaquenal. I will see what they suggest at my next visit. Hope your feeling better.
