Has anyone else had lidocaine infusions?. As well as RA I've got fibromyalgia and osteopenia. My pain consultant has decided lidocaine infusions could help with the pain. Anyone else had any experience of these?.
Lidocaine Infusion: Has anyone else had lidocaine... - NRAS
Lidocaine Infusion
Yes i have had two and am waiting the third. They have worked pretty well for me.xxxx
That's good to hear. My consultant said they help severe pain but I'd never heard of them. I'd rather ask on a blog like this than Google it and get all the possible side effects
It takes a while to nget the canula in and set the infusion up and to start with you will feel it go through, but you just lay back and wait for it to finish and the feeling afterwards when you feel in less pain is unbelievable.xxxxx
Hi Janeellen, Please let me know how this works for you. I was diagnosed with RA eight years ago and my rheumy now believes I may also have fibromyalgia. The pain I've been experiencing has been extremely intense. It always start by 1am - 2am and goes continuously for 7-10 hours. I usually feel ok during the afternoon, but very tired.
I would love to know how the lidocaine infusions work and if they do relieve your pain.
Please take care and hoping that this works wonders for you!
