Do you live in or near Loughborough and would you be interested in helping student design a 'RA' friendly toothbrush?

NRAS has had this lovely message from an exchange student studying in Loughborough who needs some help. Here's her message. Please email her directly if you are able to help.

MESSAGE REQUESTING HELP ON TOOTHBRUSH DESIGN.

I am an industrial design student at Loughborough university. I study at the TU Delft in the Netherlands. At this moment I am doing a project about people with RA and dental health. I want to design a product that provides more comfort while brushing your teeth.

I need to test several prototypes with people in the UK with hand deformaties or dexterity issues. I am looking for insights and a possibility to talk to people who live near or in Loughborough with hand deformaties or issues as a result of their RA. I am interested in the problems they experience while brushing their teeth, how they try to solve these problems and what their further needs are etc.

If anyone would like to help or find out more please email me, Eva on

Thank you
