I read somewhere that a heated blanket can help in the mornings for stiffness and joints before you get up

Ooooh I haven’t tried it but sounds a good idea, I do put a hot water bottle on my neck in the mornings and that helps so I guess it’s like a bigger hot water bottle 🤗xx

Get one tomorrow Janny, .......Best Buy ever....I have had various heated blankets for at least 30+ years.

Also have an 18" square heat pad which I pack when I go away in the winter.....a strange bed is always cold, & this little Pad is a life saver.

At this time of year Lidl & Aldi usually do a sort of heated waistcoat. I bought one last year,it worked well, but It stopped working after a few months, so I had to return it-but if I see them this year I will give one another try.

I do have a heated throw which gets quite regular use but I use it when I get a chilly spell. I haven't used it to ease stiffness but now I might try it. Minte came from Aldi and I noticed a couple of weeks ago that they had some more in but at a greater price than I paid. Hugs

Yes I have one. I find I like cold better than heat when I wake up (I'm a bit odd). I do sometimes just have it on for a bit if I'm resting and feeling a bit chilled.

Everyone is different. Give it ago, it might help.

Yes I do, heat for me is better than cold for ease of pain, I don’t know how I lived with out it, 😁 especially after my daughter bought me a new one last year that goes on like a fitted sheet, is like sheep’s wool, so days when I’ve stripped the bed and I struggle to remake i just sleep straight on to it, it has separate setting for feet and body, separate controls for each side of the bed and has digital timer. The first one I had was fiddly to tie to bed and timer you had to slide to 3 different heat setting, which I found hard to push sometimes but still I found it such a relief, also goes in washing machine

I have an overblanket which works well for me as it is easy to throw off if I get too warm. Which I do if the RA is not well controlled.

Couldn't do without it in winter.

Yes! Hubby got me one and it really helps. I turn it on 15 mins before getting up.

I recently bought a neck and shoulder pad which is heated from Lidl and I wouldn’t be without it. x

I love my heated throw from Aldi, It does help with stiffness and it's lovely to snuggle up under when fatigue gets the better of me in the colder months. Only problem is keeping the cats off!

Really really good soooo comforting only thing remember to switch it off before drifting off or you wake upvery sweaty and I know you should switch It off before getting in bed but I always think - just a little longer but I have not tried it in the morning I think it would probabley help a little but at the moment I am going through so much pain with my hands I don't know what to do with myself (another story) good luck with th blanket hope it helps :)) 14penny

Dear VeronicaF,

I can't answer you specifically but I did know, some years back now, a man who had Very bad circulation. He found a 'Heat Pad', especially on his feet, vey helpful indeed. A TENS machine Might help, some people 'Swear By' them- others 'Swear AT' them! I hope that you find 'Something', that helps you, Veronica.
