At night...

It’s the middle of the night, you just started settling in... you close your eyes and begin to drift off then something causes you to stir... pain!!!!!!! You get up stretch, rub areas that are sore, use the bathroom. Grab a drink of water, stretch a bit more, rub a bit more before attempting to settle back into bed.

After going through this routine a few times you opt for the easy chair but now sleep is far off so you turn on the tube and watch something to hopefully distract yourself back to sleep.

This is one possible scenario. What does everyone do on sleepless or difficult pain nights ???

I have spent four nights down here because of pain. I get my colouring books out and have a cup of Earl Grey tea and some pain pills and after i had had that and done some colouring i settle down tosleep and usually i can sleep then.xxxx

Not sure whether lack of sleep is drugs or RD? Off meds for month+, slept really well until shoulder flare. Back on bios and back to 3.00 am wide awake again. X

I can't sleep, I wake up 2am struggle to get back to sleep then can't wake up in the mornings, I don't know if its habit now

Unfortunately paracetamol is my solution rather not but sometimes........ hate taking so many meds but doesn't seem to be any alternative .

essential oils help me more than pain meds, I blend my own massage oils from recipes found on line, use mostly lavender,tumric, eucalyptus peppermint and a drop of ginger all mixed with a carrier oil, rubbed on the bits that hurt, bonus because the lavender is alsoma sleep aid.
