Gluten Sensitivity in a rheumatoid arthritis population study - University of Edinburgh student online survey

NRAS has been approached by a student at the University of Edinburgh who is for her final disertation researching if gluten has any impact on RA pain.

Unfortunately the survey has only been shared with NRAS after it had received ethics approval so we have not been able to input into the questions. There is one question that I feel is not particularly clear so I would draw your attention to it. Q18 asks about medication for RA but isn't clear if that means DMARDs or Biologics or NSAIDs or pain relief etc. I've checked with the student and she has said it is any medication that you take to control PAIN.

I hope some of you will be able to take the time to help this student as her deadline is quite tight and she needs 130 responds.

Here is the link to the online survey and the password you will be required to enter.

Hi Clare

Had a look at this but criteria for taking part is actually being gluten intolerant (fortunately one problem I don’t have!)

It does not allow to confirm that gluten has made no differnce to the RA.
