What do you people take for colds and flu when taking this drug??
Although I have stopped taking it the drug is in my system and I am full of cold.
I thought I would add a couple of pictures to brighten up your day peeps

Think your over feeding that cat it's turning into a lion lol, yes mtx does lower your immune system your prone to all sorts of infections, I had my tooth out yesterday cos of infections stopped all my RA drugs and I feel fine just on 5mg steroid until August then see my consultant
Kids have all of the germs and pass them on. As for the lion cub she was only a few weeks old.
Hi Minty, I usually take Night Nurse day and night which contains paracetamol plus decongestant etc. Works well and has no side effects. Sometimes Nurofen cold and flu but not if taking anti inflammatories fir the RA.
Hello Minty,
Had the same problem while on methotrexate, I got the flu. It was dreadful and made me ache in every bone. I’m another Night Nurse fan. The green liquid that comes in a bottle. It was brilliant at night and it only took a few nights on this to get sorted. If you could handle Vicks vapour rub on your body, you can also probably manage the white tiger balsam. Great for clearing your nostrils as well as achy joints.
I hope you feel better soon 🙂

Great I will try to find some tomorrow
Another vote for night nurse!
And another vote for night nurse!!
Also when I had a bad chest infection my GP gave me antibiotics are not effected by methotrexate and you don't have to stop taking mtx. Medication improving all the time.
I am now off the methotrexate and feeling so much better.
I don’t think that I have had a cold like this since I was a child
Something just reminds me.....have you asked your doctor to do a yellow card report on your reaction to MTX? It seemed pretty extreme and worth flagging up. You can do it yourself, but gets taken more seriously if a doctor does it.
