Is anyone else suddenly being inundated with Spam?
Mostly about health issues, weight loss, & now arthritis.
A disturbing coincidence(?) is I've just bought another car which I mentioned in HU,& I've received a message about a car service guarantee.
I'm just deleting them without opening them but it's getting beyond a joke ..I have tried changing my password as advised by my service provider but this morning I still found 12 messages, which will no doubt continue during the day.

That is what I am doing at the moment...but it's such a waste of time.
When I delete/unsubscribe no matter what the subject they all come from a USA site which gives an address (?) to write to...but I can't find a phone number or they would hear my pearls of wisdom about what I think about their dubious practices!
I get spells of it, and assume that someone I contacted has been hacked. So if you were getting car and looking at insurance then perhaps one of these companies has either been hacked - or sold their mailing list.
Hugely irritating as with clumsy fingers I've been know to delete an important email along with the rubbish.
Gosh that’s a bit unnerving...!? I get loads of spam but it mainly goes in my spam folder. Anything I get that’s unsavoury in my main email I just delete or move to spam as my daughter told me it “learns” that it’s spam then eventually sends it there....🤔😉.
I know if you click on just about anything on the web the algorithms (??) pick it up and then send you anything and everything linked to what you have been searching. Spooky stuff ! Just ignore ! TT x
I have just read an article in The Telegraph about the new Data Regulations which may be connected...I'll try to post it,,but at the moment my system won't play ball!
Since GDPR day, I’ve started getting loads of spam emails, mainly offering me credit cards - I just immediately delete without opening and hope they will eventually stop, but they’re a real pain in the inbox! 😡
Oh you most certainly aren’t the only one that gets inundated with spam! It’s been a pain since email was a thing, but some of the tactics used have developed over the years.
Spam filters are one option but if they rely on you blocking the sending address they are a bit hit and miss because they don’t send them from the same address all the time. Others that try to recognise certain features of spam and block them that way tend to block legit emails as well, so there is no perfect solution.
Everyone gets "spam"- When you buy a product, you details sometimes gets sold. Just mark as span you should have that option and forget about it. Our privacy is being invaded more and more, not sure where you live but I am from the UK and say I look on the Amazon Website at Laptops for example - may pages I visit will have banner adds of what I have been looking at on Amazon..
