No appointments for rheumatologist yet?? Always at gp

Severe shoulder pain and ankle pain, hand and wrist pain, had ultrasound of hands wrists and shoulder Fri, any advice, should I get some physio?

Hi. i would strongly caution against physio at this point. My OH started all this with a painful shoulder and having no idea it was RA I pushed him into getting physio. Great mistake. In dreadful pain afterwards from a completely torn rotator cuff, which I don't reckon he had when he went. If things are inflamed, treat with care. (The Physio was poor I hasten to add. Cold November day, didnt warm the joint first, just pulled it around.) If the wait for Rheum is long (worth phoning to check)IM steroid gives temporary relief.All the best

I'm waiting for rheumatologist app had ultrasound of shoulders hands and wrists Friday, my hips ams femur bones are also painful tiday

Had general steroid injection in Feb and in Nov I'm not allowed any more!!

Have you checked you are actually on the waiting List for Rheumatology? I tend not to trust a referral has been sent unless the receiver confirms it. I think 16 weeks is the max amt of time you have to wait around here, but agree that is an eternity and treatment itself takes time. Sympathies!

I worked last sat at my zero hours pharmacy, I sent a text on leaving sat afternoon offering hours Mon and Wed, by Monday no response so took Mon off Tuesday flare from hell, text to say unwell,, had to text Wed saying you coming in! Said read last text, I had a text asking me to work this sat saying hoping I'm better! At 9.30 last night saying if I don't go I sat I will be taken off the payroll!!!
