Hi everybody has anybody tried tens to help relieve some of the pain? I have bought a top of the range tens machine and I get quite a bit of relief and comfort as my RA is in my hands and wrists

tens
It helps my back when it is bad.xxx
My tens is fab for shoulders, never been able to make it comfortable for my hands or feet though, it gives me pins and needles.😀
Hello all glad that tens is helpful for some of us 🙂. Lincolnimp I wouldn’t be without my tens and am using it about 18 hours a day at the moment. When pain is widespread, I don’t worry about trying to decide where to put the pads, I just put two widely spaced either side of my spine and sometimes another two on my front somewhere and turn on the machine. I find that the rhythmic wave pattern (I think it’s called modulation) setting on mine helps distract from the pain - a bit like listening to waves of the ocean if that makes sense. I find that helps more than having it on the continuous or burst settings. If my back is really hurting though or my stomach, I am more careful about where to place the pads for best help. It’s a great thing though and I wouldn’t be without it. X
That is so lovely to hear Tillytop, I am the same I must admit I just slap the pads on and I use the rythmic wave pattern as well I find it so relaxing and better to help soothe the pain x
