Does anyone have tarsel tunnel syndrome? If so, how do you treat it?

All the best

Thank you for the link. It is very informative and easy to understand. I guess I overdid starting on Wednesday when we went to the baseball game and then had company and did a lot of walking on Saturday. And I'm frustrated, because I just want to live my life. If it's not that which acts up, it's my osteoarthritis and PMR. 😢 I Do Cherish and appreciate every moment. Please don't get me wrong. I also know that so many are suffering more than I am, and I am very grateful to get out of bed and hobble on my own two feet. My husband gave me the cortisone shot last night, and hopefully that will calm it down. I was actually enquiring as to whether anyone has the surgery and how that worked for them. I appreciate all who read this post.
Do you mean Carpal Tunnel?
Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome is like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome but instead of in your wrist it's in your foot. Specifically it's neuropathy (& pain) caused by the tibial nerve being compressed, it's on the inside of your foot near your ankle bone.
Thanks.....sounds awful!
It is. Unfortunately, they say it is not always a successful surgery, so that is why I was wondering if anyone had experience. Today it feels better after a cortisone shot. I know it doesn't last. Also, not sure it wasn't the neuroma either. So, I would appreciate hearing if someone else deals with this and had neuroma or Tarsel Tunnel surgery.
I had neuromas removed from both feet about five years ago...Tarsal Tunnel was never mentioned!
The surgery did stop the pain, but now when I go to bed & take the weight off my feet they feel as if I have a tight insole squeezing the soles of my feet. But they are fine during the day,......I can walk well, but not for too long as the RA in my ankles plays up.
I haven't been back to see the surgeon who did the operations...my feet don't hurt.....they are just uncomfortable....I'd rather put up with that than have more surgery, which might make things worse.
My friend did and had operation on both hands it's up to Dr you see and what they sugest
Thank you for link, Ali H and others. I've just assumed my mild but increasing pains in top of foot and ankles and recently up the inside of ankles were just manifestations of the RA. I definitely have CARPAL tunnel - but RA-folks haven't seemed interested/concerned. Wrist brace at night hasn't changed much. From some reading, sounds like carpal tunnel can be related to RA, and so I suppose tarsel can too? From any info/experience any of you have, does it seem "tunnel" issues are "just" RA - and so being addressed through the general treatments for RA treatments, or are they addressed/treated separately from RA treatments?
