NRAS Group Meetings— Week Commencing 5th March 2018

Bolton NRAS Group

2018 meetings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month (February - December) at Bolton One, Moor Road, Bolton, BL3 5BN from 2.00pm-4.00pm.

6th March - Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Chesterfield NRAS Group

2018 group meetings are to be held in the Tesco Community Room, Tesco Extra Clay Cross, Bridge Street North, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, S45 9NU on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

6th March - Laura from Chesterfield Nordic Walking will be joining us to give some tips on staying active and increasing fitness, thereby bringing about a sense of well being

Gloucester NRAS Group

From 2018 the group will meet four times a year at a NEW venue - 2&6 Therapy Rooms, Wainbridge House, Shepherd Road, Gloucester, GL2 5EL. NEW times: 7:00pm - 8:30pm. FREE parking, FREE refreshments and ACCESSIBLE facilities.

6th March – Rheumatology Consultant ‘Q&A session’

North West NI NRAS Group

Meetings are held quarterly in Lecture Theatre 1 in the MDEC/Trust HQ building at Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Glenshane Road, Londonderry BT47 6SB (free parking directly outside the Lecture Theatre) from 7pm - 8:30pm.

6th March - Guest speaker: Helen McDowell, Podiatrist will present 'the benefits of podiatry for people living with RA'

South Lakeland & District NRAS Group

The South Lakeland and District NRAS Group are currently holding meetings at The Castle Street Centre, Kendal, LA9 7AD from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

7th March - Guest speaker: Laz Talentire will present on 'Mindfulness and Chronic Pain'

Warwickshire NRAS Group

The Warwickshire NRAS Group hold meetings at Friends Meeting House, 28 Regent Place, Rugby, CV21 2PN (free on-road parking after 6pm) from 7:00pm - 9:00pm on the first Wednesday of every month.

7th March - Guest speaker Cynthia Srikesavan from the University of Oxford will be talking to about a new hand exercise programme to improve hand function and strength in people living with RA

Croydon NRAS Group

The Croydon NRAS group hold meetings at Purley United Reform Church Hall, 906 Brighton Road, Purley, Surrey, CR8 2LN.

8th March 7:00pm-8:30pm - 'Exercise with Gemma'. The session will be seated but for those who wish to, there will be standing options. We will articulate different joints and muscle groups with strengthening, coordination and stamina exercises. Everyone is invited to respond to the activities in their own way and at their own pace.

St Helens NRAS Group

NEW VENUE: The group meets every other month in The Gallery at The United Reformed Church, King Street, St. Helens, WA10 2JZ from 6.30pm to 8pm. There is a free car park next to the church and a disabled lift up to the first floor where The Gallery is located.

8th March - 'Pain and Fatigue Management' by Melanie Pilling from the St Helens Healthy Living Team

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
