A therapy recommendation

Hello there, this is my first post, although I’ve been reading lots on this site since I got diagnosed with RA last summer.

I am now on Sulfasalazine and pregabalon which is helping, but I also wanted to share with you a therapy I’ve been doing which has also worked wonders - myofascial release therapy.

I had gone to my usual physiotherapist and had also tried acupuncture, but neither helped at all, and it was my physio that recommended another therapist in the practice.

Well I can honestly say, it had been incredible how I’ve felt after just one session, after a few days, I kinda go back to how I was, but each time I go the affects do seem to last longer.

Can’t recommend this enough. Xx

It is a type of holistic massage therapy. My therapist will work on my arms, hands, feet, and torso. The session lasts 1 hour.

It sounds a bit like the deep tissue massage that my physio does? Truly wonderful and I usually sleep like a log afterwards.

I've heard good things about it too. Hoping to find someone near me once my new hip properly settled in as I feel it would help in the process of 'retraining' my muscles after 30 years of walking out of alignment because of my arthritis.
