Following on from Loppyloo12 cutie pup picture, i would love to share this picture of my dog Bunni who is four. She is having a funny dream where she is giggling ! What a pity we dont have the ability to put sound to pictures as it always makes me smile to hear her mumbling away to herself and clearly enjoying whatever she is dreaming about. Rofl . The silly grin says it all !

Fantastic - you can’t beat the silly antics of a cat or dog when they’re rolling around with their belly on show - I’ve got a maltese called Minnie, but because of how crazy she is my support worker calls her mental Minnie - she literally can’t sit/stand still for a second, unless she’s being picked up,and then she’ll just sit in your arms all day having just behind her ear stroked..... her reaction to that is great.... she justconstantly pokes her tongue out - my aunt also seems to think that she looks like a gremlin(gizmo) after because of how her hair is all static and on end 😂 I swear most days my pets are the only things getting me from one day to the next - they certainly keep me on my toes making sure they’re behaving 😈

Oh yes ..... my pups (i also have her brother from the same litter, a bit bigger and grey/black in colour,) are my lifeline and are always up to something silly. Lol. They give me so much pleasure and total love and affection every day and night. When i am in so much pain i cant think and the painkillers are just not doing it for me, the cute little faces staring up at me and cuddling up to me on the bed mean so much. Unconditional love is a great analgesic in itself! I wouldn’t change them for the world and they make me smile everyday. What better course of treatment can you get ?? Rofl. I recommend it to anyone who feels they cant cope anymore and they just give me a reason to carry on. I must admit to treating them like little people and spoiling them rotten but they deserve it for all the pleasure they give me. I feel so lucky to have two funny and lovable little characters in my life. They are also such good listeners. Lol.

I couldn’t have said it any better myself - two of my three house cats are Maine coon crosses, which I never knew until the vet told me at their first boosters,so they are absolutely huge, with mahooosive paws that have great big tufts of fur on them, and they are more like dogs than cats..... but the funniest thing is that they absolutely go mad for water..... bathtime in my house is like a comedy of errors...... I’ve got mog literally fighting me to sit on my lap whilst I’m sitting on my bath lift, and then I’ve got Minnie that suddenly turns into a jack in the box that constantly jumps up and down the side of the bath because she’s too small to see what’s going on,and god forbid that she might miss out on anything😂 all the meantime I’ve got Mog ‘chattering ‘ to her, which causes her to bark in return, and then I’m trying to get rested and clean in the middle of it all..... and god help me if I drop the remote for my bath chair either,as Minnie just barks non stop at it ..... it’s got to be seen to be believed, but in 44 yrs of owning pets,I’ve never quite had such insane animals as these ones..... but love them with everything I have all the same 😻🐶😍

Ha ha ha ! ...... and i thought i had the only madhouse!

Sadly i lost my two girls last year and the year before, they were mother and daughter (who moved in when i had my house built ), from a neighbour who just had a complete menagerie and hadn’t even noticed them missing. ROFL. Tizzy (see picture on my name tag) was MUM and was 17 - 18 minimum as i never knew her true age just how long i had them. When she passed of old age and her kitten Baby Moo (so named because she was still a kitten at 15 years old when she passed of liver problems and made a silly mooing noise when she wanted attention,) left a huge hole in my life and so far I haven’t been able to get over grieving for them so I haven’t taken on anymore cats just yet. I’m sure with a bit more time i will find a needy feline or two to join our happy little band as Bunni loves cats and had a black oriental stray who i named Dexter who used to visit through the cat flap and stay for a few says at a time as her best friend. Sadly he died also last year with cancer so she is pining for him too. I am constantly looking for a puss for her and Teddi (her brother) to be friends with but again, i have not been brave enough as yet to go any further as i am still grieving for my lovely girls. Time is a big healer so watch this space for more kitties in a wee while ! Rofl

OMG - I’m already broody at the thought of kitten pics..... mine were teeny when I got them - I got told they were 8 weeks, but as they still had blue eyes I knew they were only 6 at the very most😤 .... 680g and 730g,now they’re 7.8kg each!!! No wonder it feels like my back’s been broken every morning after they’ve been lying on my legs😂

My first ever cat,Fred, died after an epileptic seizure outside when he cracked his head on the pavement - he was 19 and still my baby, and Tilly was just under 17 when I had to have her put to sleep because her organs just gave up one morning.... I’ve had many others in between, all treated as my babies(never wanted kids, only animals) and they’ve all gone at varying stages for one thing or another, but all apart from one,my first ginger,Nutnut, are in their relevant caskets, asleep under my bed, waiting to go with me when the time is right(we never really heard of getting pets cremated 25 yrs ago,so he’s buried in his favourite spot where we used to live) - some think I’m crazy, but I don’t care,we will all be over the bridge together again, and all as fit as fiddles too 😊😻

My two girls were the first kittens I’d had in 15yrs as I’d always taken on older rescue cats, and even a couple just straight in from the street(once I’d had them tested for FIV at the vets first) and I’d forgotten just how exhausting kittens could be..... they even taught the stray I’d taken in the year before, how to play again, and now their bond is like they’ve never been anything other than family...., I adore them all x

Talk about coincidences ...... my little family of departed babies are also in mini caskets on my bookshelf with strict instruction for them to be placed in the same place my remains are buried in a small crematorium casket. I would really love some catnip grown on the spot so that passing pussies could enjoy a little kick of happiness as they pass by. 🤣

I too have had a long line of pets as cancer took care of any plans I had for human babies when I was 28 years old. A hysterectomy, double ooferectomy, chocolate cysts and endermetriosis all combined together was a nightmare I try very hard to forget these days. Luckily though no further cancer has appeared yet.

I did look at main coons and realised they would be bigger than the pups, not that would really matter .... just a lot more puss cat to cuddle ! 🤣. I have also looked at Ragdolls but I like my cats to go outside and roam around and enjoy life so they wouldn't be suitable as they're house cats only.

I will keep you posted of any new additions I make to our little household. Right ...... it been so lovely chatting with you today but sadly I now have to go off to the dentist for a long session of root canal work. Yuck! My teeth have all gone to pot in the last few years with the medication we all have to take. 😂

Thanks for chatting

Xx

I too love the idea of cats roaming,my mum has the perfect garden that backs onto conservation area, woodlands and farmers fields,so her bengals and other cats have loved it - mine have access to an enclosed garden, complete with shed (heated) just for them,so they can watch the birds on their feeders through the privacy glass i installed for them 😝 the only reason I chose the enclosed option is because I back onto a main bus route, and after losing Nutnut to the rds all those years ago,I never ever want to have to clear another one of my babies up from that 😢

Hope your dentistry goes as well as can be,and hopefully chat again soon x
