I was reading about the Whole30 diet which is supposed to reduce inflammation and boost the immune system. It is not one of those fad reducing diets, but a healthy eating plan for inflammation. Just wondering if any of you have tried it or know if it helps or not.

Anyone tried "Whole30" diet?
I haven’t heard of the Whole30 but since my flare up over Christmas I have had a complete overhaul of my diet. I also read ‘Curing arthritis ‘ and contacted the clinic that has been set up from it. I have worked on reducing acid in my body. I try to take nothing processed and have added a lot more fibre into my diet as well as liquid cholophyll, cider vinegar, honey and molasses.
I started Benepali a month ago which has been positive. I am still on MTX. But my aim is to come off it. Talking to the clinic they advise making small changes then when I feel ready look at how I am without the meds. Ideally I would love to come off it, however part of me is holding back believing I could!
It might work for some folks as it seems to cut out whole grains, Legumes and sugar. I personally find cutting out grains, Pulses and sugar beneficial from a gut perspective. I feel awful if I eat them. I've also recently cut out dairy. Also eggs...but that's because I ate a dodgy one and was sick. Can't face them now!
Not sure cutting the above out helps much with my joints, but I sure feel better not eating them. For some folk cutting out whole grains might be problematic. You could try and see...we're all different.
Too much roughage does me no good at all, but I suffer from IBS.
When will people realize that each of these fads is simply somebody's latest get rich scheme. Just stick to the Mediterranean Diet, which is well established as healthy.

[No ‘get rich scheme’ 💸 there. (They’re not ‘selling’ 🏷 anything. The information is free. 🆓 ) KP’s looking out for their ‘bottom line’ 💵 & don’t (can’t) afford to pay for long-term (lifetime) chronically ill patients. 😳 😱 They want us well 💃🕺 so we’re not ‘tapping into their profits’ 📈 or ‘bleeding their coffers dry’💰💰 📉 .]
Yes, abundant money-making 🤑 schemes abound. The trick is being able to ‘sort the wheat from the chaff’ 🤔 (metaphorically & literally ☺️ ). It isn’t readily apparent/ clear cut — especially for noviciates 👶 or even long-term, ole’ timers 👵👴 who’ve been knocked about by sub-par advice, awful experience & have thereby (understandably) become thoroughly, incalcitrantly jaded 🤨 😒 😤 .
Think it’s something we each figure out for ourselves 🧐 over time, along the way? 🤔 (‘It’ being, what works best for us as individuals. 🙏 😌 ) In meantime, lot’s of ‘trial & error’ experiential learning. 🙃🔨 (Falling into holes 🕳 🕳 & crawling back out — without giving up.) 🙏 🍀 🌺 🌞

This diet is based on the Mediterranean diet, but tweaked to reduce inflammation which most of us with RA have.
Actually Don122 some folks really can't manage certain foods. It's not that different from the fodmap diet prescribed by my gastroenterologist. Certain sugars, grains and a few other things tend to set me off.
Some diets are indeed a fad. I personally wouldn't put myself in the cabbage diet, it would be asking for trouble!
The diet mentioned by Sharon, may well work for some people with gut issues. We ain't all built the same!
