I just got back from the pain clinic and I am more than pleased. I will be going to a three week “rehabilitation” center for chronic pain where they will do several different types of therapy’s to help me feel less pain and be able to do what I used to be able to do.

Wow, I'm so pleased for you. That's wonderful news. I wish we had those in the UK! For some reason I'm imagining a spa type place with warm hydro pools, steam rooms... And doctors working out the best pain relief for you whilst simultaneously plying you with nice food and cocktails...

If it"s not like that, please don't tell me lol x

Kinda lol. They have a pool for daily aqua aerobics, massage therapy, acupuncture therapy, physical therapy (twice a day), daily psychiatrist meetings. Lots of free time activities and such. Plus three weeks surrounded by teenagers and people helping me and away from my camper and parents.

I went to a pain clinic. It wasnt what I was expecting but it was really helpful and very informative. Strategies to help in a variety of ways. So pleased for you. ☺

I’m not trying to be mosey but where is the rehab center located? I have RA, Flat Back syndrome/Kyphosis and have been on pain management for a very long time. I wish there were something different to help with the pain.

Thats great. Im in uk and was suppose to have something similar - admitted to hosp for 4 days. Funding was pulled so it was just 3 days, 10-4 mon,wed, fri and we all go back in 3-4 weeks time to see if we have incorporated what was covered into our lives.

I enjoyed going and hopefully some of the things covered will help me but im currently having a flare therefore just struggling in general.

Im sure yours will definitely help as more will be covered and you will probably get treatments etc.

I too would like to know more about where you are going. I’m in Maryland and willing to travel but first want to know what exactly it is. Do you have the name? Can you give it out so we can just look at what it is.... and maybe see if there are places like it closer to where we live. Thanks so much!!! It sounds incredible - I wish you all the best!!
