Hi All, am normally fine with injections (have had them weekly since June). Last night didn’t feel particularly good and now I have this massive bruise on my stomach! I’m putting it down to bad technique on that occasion (it happens) and one of those things but should I be worried/ contacting my nurse? Thanks in advance, Kerry

Bruising from injection
It's because blood gets between the and muscles, I'm diabetic and do this daily lol and I have 5/6 a day Amy tummy and legs get full of bruised lol.
I had that a couple of times when injecting stomach after an op. Think it's Ok...but I ain't no doc! If you're worried ask nurse.
I occasionally get them when I inject my Cimzia. You sometimes nick a small blood vessel. I don't think it is anything to worry about but check with a nurse or doctor to reassure yourself.
Thanks all. Definitely think I’ve hit a blood vessel as it’s moved where I had my jeans on last night and has weird lines, almost as if the blood is being pushed about! Will speak to the nurse if it happens frequently but you have put my mind at ease- thank you! x
I sometimes get small bruises when I inject Benapali into my stomach. More frequently I get large bruises when I inject methotrexate into the top of my legs. There must be more blood vessels to nick in my legs.
I do seem to bruise more easily now even from small bumps and knocks and have wondered if that is an effect of the drugs on clotting and if it is anything I should be concerned about.
I am on clopidegrel (anti clotting) and the slightest touch means I look like I have done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Any injection will produce bruising to a greater or lesser extent, all nurses try to get it right but finding the right vein is a nightmare and I can't see if the regular one in my spine bruises as I don't have a swivel neck
