Last night i took my first dose of mtx 25 mg injected and its 10 hour past i have no any side effects even nausea. My concern is that how long it takes to show its side effect after injected and how long it exits?
First dose of mtx inj 25 mg: Last night i took my first... - NRAS
First dose of mtx inj 25 mg
I took my first Tuesday. I also have had no side effects. I was curious also. Hope it continues but from other post I am trying to not get too excited as seems each day brings new surprises. Praying it goes well for you.
Enjoy it!
No idea about injectable, as I take the tablets. I get nausea usually day after I've taken it. Have had cracking insomnia since starting three weeks ago. However, reduction in pain and swelling is amazing already! I'll take that!
Hope it works well for you too.
My rhuemotologist said most people who take the injections have less side effects than with the pills. Haha I got 3 month supply from doc for $45.00 includes the folic acid. (Cheaper than with insurance) later called my insurance and find out they don't want to cover the injections just the pills) had to laugh.
I'm going to sound like a broken record...but just inject the Mtx & forget it.
I am convinced at least 50% of the nausea attributed to Methotrexate is actually anxiety worrying about when you are going to feel sick.
I took it seven years & didn't feel sick once!
So look forward to joining the thousands who are living well on It!
About 6-12 weeks
I’m also on methotrexate but in pill form.
Hope it stays that way for you
I’m not sick on mine just have feel I want to be.But I try not to think about it.Its normal the first one as your going into unknown and read so much about it.I no I did as I wasn’t in group then..
No side effects for me (but also not really managing my RA either unfortunately 6 months in). I would advise though, don’t forget to take the folic acid.... I ran out for a couple of days and developed horrible mouth ulcers under my tongue!
We each react so differently to the meds it's impossible to predict if or when they will work or what side effects there might be. It seems that generally these meds take their sweet time to work. Some people experience horrible side effects from the first dose while others never get any. Sorry to be so vague.

Like everyone says what happens to one don’t mean will happen to you each person has different affects just take it in your stride and don’t over think it about.I don’t think I just get on with it.if you do get any just take notes and tell your nurse 🙂x
