There is an abundance of research and scientific evidence on the benefits of aspirin. This was the latest article in Medical News.

Adding another interesting research result:

Don't forget, though, that anything that works well also has a downside. The main one being intestinal bleeding.

Oh yes, like with all meds there is a down side but where aspirin is concerned the benefits seem to outweigh the risks by far. The positive effects of aspirin keep dropping in through new research all the time. I saw a recent study with evidence pointing in the direction that in fact aspirin has a gut protecting agent. ( Been searching but cannot find the study, will post it when I find it.)

Interesting thank you. Your medical new today link gave a link for ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/194... which says " Evidence clearly shows a chemopreventive effect for aspirin

and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)

in colorectal cancer and probably other cancer types;

however, data on the risk-benefit profile for cancer prevention are insufficient and no definitive recommendations can be made."

If aspirin decreases the above mentioned forms of cancer up to 47% has a clear effect on decreasing CVD, and the hospital deaths of aspirin are very low in fact. Hard to understand how so many other meds with miles of dangerous side effects are looked upon as being ok to digest😳
