Hi, I'm Maggsie and I'm new here. My question is does anyone take a modified release anti inflammtory that is not diclofenac? I would like to give something else a try due to the long term risks but I don't know what else is available in modified release form?

Thanks in advance.

I was prescribed Brufen Retard 800mg. Was told to take one in a morning and one in an evening. It’s a slow release anti inflammatory. x

I don't need it now because I'm in remission but yes it did work.

meloxicam is another NSAID which I take (occasionally now) it is long acting so only needs to be taken once a day. I got on really well with that one.

If you look up NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) you can see that there is large selection.
