Hi everyone, I have been put on Dicloflex 75 mg SR Prolonged-release Tablets as the Naproxen is now making my tinnitus unbearable, I get about 4-5 hours sleep a night. Has anyone used this NSAID with good results?

I haven't had these so couldn't comment but anything that helps get rid of the tinnitus is so welcome isn't it?

I also have it and, yes, it drives you nuts. Being hard of hearing too I got some hearing aids which have a 'masking' function. If the tinnitus gets too much I press a little button on the aid and I get white noise feeding into my ears which somehow cancells out the tinnitus. The audiologist said that hearing aids quite often help without the masking function. I hope that helps

I was on Diclofenac for many years and it was very affective. I was able to maintain my job during bad flares. When I was over 60 I was told not to use it as there is an increased risk of strokes and heart attacks.

Yes, I use these. I have regular tussles with my GP about it, but they work very well for me. I seem to get a boost at abou 7.30am which gets me up and about without too much pain and stiffness. I usually take mine between 10:30 and 11:00.

I wouldn't be without it.

I was given diclofenac in hospital (Diclofex is a brand name, you'll know that but others may not) when I had a kidney problem. I have used them since but not for RD.

I hope that they're helpful & the tinnitus comes down to a liveable level. They're not so keen on prescribing them nowadays.
