Mtx and kidney functions

Hi

A month ago I had my MTX increased. Then my serum creatinine levels have increased to 114 and my white blood cells are increasing too. Has anybody else experienced this -,and if so what was the outcome?

Personally I've never had any Kidney score issues with Mtx. In my case it's Liver scores and it's these that my Rheumy team have always kept an eye on. It's usual for them to monitor a patients LFT's (especially ALT) when increasing Mtx which is why you'd probably have fortnightly bloods until things settle.

As for white bloods cells I believe an increase can be a sign of infection but I'm sure your Rheumy team would advise you if they had any concerns.
