Call your rheumatologist and tell them! It could be meds failing to lower your inflammation or a flare!

How long have you been diagnosed? What is your specific disease? What other meds have you tried? Are you in the U.S?

I know it's a lot of questions, but I need more information to offer advice or comfort!

Do you mean Enbrel (Etanercept)? I am not aware of a biological drug called ambrel... have been on Enbrel (1 injection per week) for at least 10 years. It has been a life saviour. At times it did not work 100% but great most of the time. Worth checking with your rheumatologist. Are you in UK?

Hiya Smiththeresa1960 & welcome. If you're on the verge of flaring contact your Rheumy team, or your biological nurses if it is Enbrel you're taking. The sooner you're seen or receive advice the better as I'm sure you don't need to be told uncontrolled disease/inflammation is when the risk of destruction is at it's greatest.

I hope you find it helpful being here. We're a supportive group & will do all we can to help you cope, just ask & someone will be around to answer your concerns. 🙂

Hello, do contact your Rheumy right away. Several things could be happening. You may need a dose adjustment or a different drug or an additional booster drug to your Enbrel like MTX which is often prescribed with Enbrel for RA

I was prescribed Enbrel and it wore out before the next shot, by the end of the week all my symptoms started flaring. My dose schedule was changed to one injection every six days and that did the trick.

Also not all biologics work for everyone, some people can not use biologics all, as you probably know having been through all the DMRDs. It really seems to be a juggle for so many to find the right drug or cocktail of drugs that work - sometimes drugs work great for a very long time, then out of no where they just don’t work for you anymore or you start getting issues from the drug itself

Your Rheumy should be able to sort this for you, keep us posted as to how things are going
