Rheumatoid arthritis

I have rheumatoid arthritis for the last 40 years and I had a severe flair up about 15 years ago and finally found a great Rheumatoid arthritis doctor who now has retired and I have a different Rheumatoid arthritis doctor and when I had a severe flair up all the doctor did was put me on prednisone and increased my Humira and Methotraxate but would not give me a cortisone injection into my feet. I finally found a orthopedic doctor who did injections into my feet and I feel so much better after the second day, and I can walk without pain. I have purchased several different shoes and insoles and etc. without any success. I need to get this whole thing back under control as I am not going to become a couch potato and let Rheumatoid Arthritis ruin my life. Has anyone has severe flair ups in their metatarsal of both their feet and after another x ray found no damage to that area? The injections the orthopedic doctor gave me of cortisone was like a miracle. I only hope it last. Thanks for "listening" to all my complaints.

I also have ra it's in my feet to so know how u feel like u said good shoes really help

My ra only showed up on an ultrasound scan, all xrays showed was my osteoarthritis. Hope that helps
