I had an xray seven weeks ago after visiting my rheumatologist and i,m still waiting for him to write to me with thr results.Has anyone else had to wait this long?

Hi. I have had X-Ray's & the normal time for them to reach your doctor is @ 10 days. Have you tried contacting the X-ray department & see if they can help you. I live in Northern Ireland.

Thanks for your reply,i rang the rheumatology helpline and the nurse said the doctor will write to me but they,re running behind

Yes i am told that the interpretation of exray results is taking about 6 weeks in this area. Plus the hospital have not sent the results to my dr and i had to wait till things got worse and i contacted the help line. Only then was i told i had severe arthritis in my knees and would probably need knee replacements. I then got a letter and have been sent to physio to see if they can help. Hope this helps.

I was told all the x-ray results were on a data base on computer for GPS etc to c I had extant of knee done 2weeks ago and at gp 2day she couldn't access it let us know if u get yours

Thanks for your reply.I rang my gp yesturday but was told that because it was,nt my gp that asked for these xray,s to be done that i need to ring the hospital.
