Enbrel an side effects
I've been on Ebbrel for a few years now. I've had no side effects, just an itching and redness at the injection sight and that only last about a day.
I've been on it for 2 months. Still in pain. But I realize it can take a few months for relief. I've also been on Methotrexate for a few months with no relief. No bad side effects from either though.
I've been on Enbrel self mix injections since April this year. After various tests it was discovered that I'm allergic to preservatives in drugs so I've had a rough time trying to find something that I wouldn't have a reaction to. The Enbrel has been great at reducing swelling but only helped a little with the pain. I still have to take pain relief when it's really bad. At the moment I'm on a low dose as it's affecting my white blood cells but hoping that at some time in the future I can increase the dosage. At least it's not getting any worse so I'm thankful for that.
Hi Abbie, I was on Enbrel from 2002 to 2015 and it was a miracle for me. I went from constant pain and awful stiffness in all joints to being able to move freely and sleep at night. I had to stop taking it because it stopped being effective and in combination with Cyclosporine was effecting my kidney function. Nothing has been as good since but the symptoms have never been quite as bad as the first 2 years. Having my 3rd infusions of Rituximab on 27th Oct & 10th Nov, so fingers crossed!
I Really hope that Enbrel works as well for you as it did for me - 48 hours and I felt so much better.
Wishing you all the luck in the world
Michele
Hi Abbie
I've been on Enbrel since 2006 and it's been my miracle drug. I went from being unable to move or do anything, on many strong painkillers etc to
being fairly pain free, very little inflammation and being able to live my life again. No side effects from it, you need the methotrexate with it to increase the efficacy of the Enbrel. I also swapped this year to the bio similar form which seems just as good, Benepali, but is much less cost to the NHS.
Good luck
Tina
Enbrel since 2014. Like many others I am not sure where I would be without it! It gave me hope and mobility. No bad side effects. Took a while to get to all the joints etc so slower progress than some. It feels like a miracle.
