Fingers crossed i think my pneumonia is starting to break......

Good morning everyone. Fingers crossed i thing this pneumonia is finally starting to break. I know i am not out of the woods yet,but it is a start. I was able to go out into the garden yesterday and get the sun on my face which made me look brighter. Out of the six weeks i have been ill i have only be able to take my mtx once and i won't be able to take it this week either, but that is ok as long as this pneumonia goes i am not going to worry. I am at the rheumy tomorrow re; my mtx injections which hopefully i will start when this pneumonia has gone. I also have to have a chest x-ray to see what it looks like and if there is any damage done to my lungs. I have also got to discuss this all with the rheumy as my gp thinks there might need to be a change in how my health goes from here. So we will see what happens tomorrow i know my ra has got worse, not in a major way just little things like my fingers being a little bit more sore. The fatigue is worse and i don't sleep as well. The last time i had pneumonia nearly as bad was 15yrs ago and the finally year i got ra, so i dread to think what is going to come for me,all i can do is pray i am wrong.

I would like to thank you all for your kind words and yes telling me off when you thought i needed it. You all know me so well. You have kept me going when the lights were very dark when i thought i would never get better. I know i am not out of the woods yet,but i am on the long way to better health re; pneumonia. The rest we will have to see. xxxxxxxx

And you are going to rest now & not sit at that ironing contraption of yours?

Now when my RA really kicks off I get all my bed linen ironed by a local young girl who has started up an ironing business.....I know I'm a lazy hussy...but I can't bear sleeping in unironed sheets......& it's not that expensive! I kid myself I am encouraging entrepreneurship!

Good Luck with your appointment with your rheumy tomorrow.

My fingers are crossed for you. This is a theme song that I love & that I sing over and over again when I have to take it day by day.

A chink of light Sylvi. Keep resting, tomorrow will doubtless take it out of you so don't fret when you feel you've taken a step back. It will be interesting to see what your Rheumy makes of it & if you'll continue MTX, I suppose the X-ray will tell. Take good care. x

So glad to hear you say you’re beginning to feel better. I pray that this positive change continues for you.

Please, please do not compromise any improvement by doing ironing or anything else. There may be a link in you being forced to rest and some improvement in your health occurring?

I wish you the best going forward Sylvi

Glad to hear that things are finally moving in the right direction with the pneumonia, its been a long time coming.

Just dont go messing about in that garden or playing with your ironing toy and undo all the good progress. You are still recovering.

Got my bossy nurse hat on now -- nag,nag,nag.............

Take care.

You made me laugh, you know me so well darling. I think this is going to take a lot longer to recover from. I managed to stay dressed until 3pm and then i went and got my pjs on. I then went up to bed after my tea because i was so tired and exhausted. Thats the thing i am always exhausted before this pneumonia, but now i am more exhausted. Thank you for the laugh and i love you and all the people on here, you always come to support me when i am having a rough time.xxxxx

Yay I am so pleased to hear. Keep on that road to recovery, it will take a while after pneumonia.

Thank goodness things are starting to improve for you at last Sylvie. All that resting and taking it easy must be paying off. Let's hope your health goes on improving and you get good news from your rheumy. Hugs
