Feel a bit of an idiot today, fell down early this morning and couldn't get up. Was led on the floor for two hours as husband couldn't hear me calling, scooted along the floor on my bum till I reached my phone in front room. Luckily my mum has a front door key,she came over and got my husband up. Now on the sofa feeling pained and stupid, will definitely have a nice bruise later. Will have to up the pain relief today.๐Ÿ˜ข

Hi, Know exactly how you feel, fell Wednesday morning. It happened so quickly, was outside, put hand out to save myself, but my fingers hit the edge of a step, and have broken all four of left hand! Like you I felt stupid but also angry at myself! I have neck involvement with R A and found the next day the worse. Like you I kept on top of pain relief which helped. My advice?, be kind to yourself, accidents happen to the best of us. Give yourself time to rest and be patient with yourself! Right, I'm going to try and take my own advice now!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Wishing you a very quick recovery and hope you feel better soon.

I wish instead of a liking the post if they could put something else up like a thumbs down when it is not a cheerful post. Now i have that out of the way i hope your not too bruised. It might be a good idea to get a dr to come out and check you over as laying on the floor for that length of time it would be worth checking you over.xxx

Definitely agree with Sylvi though, it would be a good idea to have the Dr check you over. Look after yourself.

Here's a cheerful post Sylvi!

When I broke my arm last year I went into my front garden to read my gas meter which is in a box in the ground.....& promptly toppled over into the hole it's in! With only one useful arm .....I was stuck until a kind neighbour came to help me...but then we both got the giggles & she nearly joined me in the ground.

All was saved when a strong young neighbour just lifted me up bodily!

I was none the worse...except for feeling very silly!

Oh darling feeling silly is par for the course when you fall in a hole and boy did that make me laugh darling. I can just imagine you falling into that hole and not being able to get out.xxxxxxx

The main problem was it was December so I was wearing a thick padded coat.....it was slippery so my neighbour couldn't get a grip on any part of me!

We still laugh at my "gas meter incident" when we see each other!

Oh bless you. I'm hoping you aren't too badly bruised and shaken up. A quick look over by the doc might be a good move but in the meantime be gentle with yourself and I wish you better. Hugs
