Dry mouth with mtx

Hi just a quick question I have just started mtx and having a problem with dry mouth? Anyone know anyway to help this? Thank you in advance.

Hi. You can get pastilles that increase saliva production and an artificial saliva spray. I asked the pharmacist, she was very helpful.

Think dry mouth can be due to RA, not necessarily due to MTX.

I've been on MTX 8 years but didn't have dry mouth until I started amitriptyline. I was first prescribed Salivix pastilles which I didn't like so they were changed for Biotène gel which I find more helpful. I always have a bottle of water to sip at in the car too &, although I hate it, my last resort is chewing gum, at least it gets the saliva glands going.
