I must confess, what prompted my joining this group is my basic vanity.

I think this Humira is making my hair fall out.

I also think that my joints are starting to actually feel better only one week post injection.

Guess I'm happy? But still...

Sorry to hear. Is this a common thing with biologics? I've heard about this with Methotrexate.

Hi- I was on MTX for a few months prior to this. Did not tolerate it- stomach, yes & hair. This is new. Thx for writing

My hair has been falling out more than usual for about a year. My Hb is only just under normal range but my ferritin reserves are only 49. GP thinks taking ferrous sulphate (iron) to boost ferritin reserves up to 150 will bump up Hb level and stop my hair falling out so much. Check your bloods.

Looking good defines us and losing our hair makes how we feel different and i can understand what your saying. Give it a few weeks darling as usually the hair loss will settle down,if it doesn't then go back and speak to your rheumy darling.xxxxx

Thank you for your kindness. Hopefully you're right. Realistically, it's a small price, etc.

Ive been taking Humira since February. Havent experienced any real improvement yet. Still aches & pains everywhere will see Rheumy nurse in Aug. I told her last time that my hair had alot of short split fly-away ends. She checked it out & said there is no mention of hair problems with Humira.

Interesting. She didn't look very far then, I have to say. It's in the literature. I hope they switch you to something that helps you soon.

Hi,

Low Vit D makes your hair fall out too- seems to go with taking mtx. I take a spray and it helps. Also cut my hair short! X
