I'm 15, and around a year ago I had this incident where my right arm, up to my elbow, and my ring and pinky finger were numb for pretty much the entire summer holidays. My mum said it was possibly because I spent the entire night on the computer with my elbow resting on the table - which I know can cause numbness. I do suffer from a slight case of carpal tunnel syndrome, like most people in my family, and people say that maybe the numbness had something to do with that but I'm not sure.
Anyway, ever since that day, my pinky finger on my right hand hasn't felt right. Like when I move my ring finger, which should make my little finger bend along with it, it doesn't and stays in a straight position. But that's only up to my dip joint. The tip of my finger moves, but the rest does not.
I have to actually make my finger move because if I don't, it won't bend. It hurts slightly, and if I bend it too much it sends a numbing pain down my hand. Also when I bend it, it makes an audible pop noise. My dip joint also feels different to the rest of my knuckles. It feels as though I am missing a chunk, or that it has moved higher and more to the right. My finger itself doesn't look any different, though.
I really hope someone can help. I've looked on every site that isn't dodgy, and I can't find anything.
