Actemra and effects?

Hello I am new here and would like to know has anyone tried Actemra. I have only been taking Neproxen 500mg 2x a day until my second appointment with my Rheumatoligist. He sai d that since I have a history of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma I could not start on the normal mexotrexate and DMARDS. This is all new to me and would just like some insight on the side effects and if it helped anyone

I had infusions to begin with then injections which I am still giving myself. I had no side effects but I am in the process of changing to Orencia and only because my rhumey feels Acta mera isn't working as well as it did. The reason being, I had to stop the infusions for 6 mths when I returned to live in Canada. This can happen when you stop a medication for a while. It worked fantastic to begin with but you need to remember that we all react differently to medications. Good luck, I would give it a try and If it doesn't work for you your Rheumy has many more for you to try. It can take up to 12 weeks to get fully into your system although I could tell it was starting to work after 2 weeks. I hope this helped you.
