Hello All, Does anyone else have problems with insomnia. I had my 3rd round of Rituximab in May, and have been having major sleep problems every since. I average 3-4 hrs a night, getting up between 2 and 4 am each morning and am beginning to feel a little like a zombie. I try not to sleep in the day, even though I really want to, in the hope that I can sleep through the night, but doesn't seem to make any difference. Not sure if it is Rituximab or something else.

Hi Kay,

Yes for me also. I've eased the getting off to sleep with a hay fever med because it makes me drowsy. I take it 5 nights a week as it doesn't matter if I have a lay in on the weekends. I have found a blackout blind helps to keep me asleep longer this time of year.

A warm bath about an hour before bedtime also helps and I stay in bed listening to meditation music so at least I am relaxing at least.

All the best

Ali

I dream of that - I am absolutely shattered permanently. I don't have a problem falling asleep - it's the staying asleep all night that seems to be the problem.

I couldn't sleep for months, now I take one otc Unisom 50mg Diphenhydramine HCI softgel. Do check with your Dr. I take one about 45 minutes before bedtime. I either sleep through the night or if I wake up to go to the bathroom I go right back to sleep. I wake up feeling normal, pain from my condition but not groggy. Good luck! Take care, Penny

One definite benefit of LDN for me has been how much better sleep quality it has given me. Had really problems before. Have heard the same from many LDN users. This is usually after the initial two weeks that you may have sleep disturbences, I never did. Not a bad idea at all to try, sleep is so important. No bad side effects.

What a shame! Nothing worse than sleep deprivation, especially if it's out the blue. Hope it settles soon. I'm on methotrexate but I've started to realise that worrying whether I'm getting side effects gives me more anxiety which, in turn, affects my sleep and the fatigue bouts during the day. I've found it really difficult being hyper-aware of everything that's going on in my body but I reckon I just need to focus on keeping hydrated, resting, eating lots of good things to help my overworked system to heal itself as best it can and unwinding earlier than usual for bed. I've got a vaporiser thing to put lavender oil in, got a relaxation mix on Spotify to help the wind down before bed - anything that works. Bit easier said than done but I've found it helps me to focus on those things and try not to Netflix past 9:30pm (a very challenging discipline for me lol). Wishing you lots of Zzzzz.
