Hi yes I have UC I don't take meds if I can help it, I eat as healthy as possible and make sure that I do not get constipated, this seems to keep me fairly on track, if I do have a flare I use suppositories they seem to help and I put myself on a clean diet, how long ago was you diagnosis confirmed.

Its not a pleasant disease but for me it was better than the original one which thankfully was incorrect.

Hi Rocky,

I have episodes of UC- first diagnosed as a teenager ( though sometimes the diagnosis is taken off me then given back...!) I feel like that, yes . Hope you feel better soon x

Hi yea sometimes but I have IBS as well so they tell me and that's a pretty common problem with IBS.

When I have a flare I will go about 20 times a day with copious amounts of blood, gross sorry.

I have Crohns and RA - Colitis being a bit different but yes, you can feel the need to eliminate after you have already gone, even when there is nothing left to eliminate. The colin can become spastic this way. This can especially happen after bouts of diarrhea.

Is this something you've recently been diagnosed with Rocky?

If so, I'd speak further with your medical team whilst you're still in hospital?

Or is this something you worry you may have? Bear in mind you've said you're bed bound and that can play havoc with your vowels etc, never mind all the analgesics you may be taking at the minute following surgery.

Chat to the medical staff and see what they say.

Take care

Marie
