So after being off my (effective) medication since October 2015 and trying to conceive since February 2016, I am finally pregnant! My rheumatologist talked to me when I said we were planning a family but it was so long ago I forgot what she said! I'm sure she said I had to tell her when I got pregnant and they might get me into the early pregnancy unit for a scan. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do? Ring the nurses? Or just my GP? All new to me so I have no clue!
Thanks

Congratulations! Hoping all goes well for you and your little one to come. I loved each of my 3 pregnancies, so soak it all in. Such a wonderful, miraculous time of a new life coming to be.
Congratulations darling you are one brave lady do hope all goes well for you . You never know things like this can put you in remission stranger things have happened good luck xxxx
Congratulations Becky. I'm currently pregnant too and first thing I did was phone Consultant and leave a message and went to GP to register with midwife due to RA and meds etc. Consultant rang back and we went though meds and arranged appointment. I hope like me the pregnancy gives you a break from the pain and other symptoms of RA xXx
Great news! And hopefully you'll go into remission as many women do during pregnancy. Do make contact with your rheumatology team as they should monitor & advise you.
Thanks everyone! I've called the GP to make an appointment with the midwife. Next job is to find the number for the rheumy nurses which I've definitely lost!
Congratulations! If you are unsure I'd ring the rheumatology nurse to be on the safe side. I got pregnant on sulphasalazine and was able to come off it during pregnancy - I felt better than I had done in years Hope you get the same, exciting times!
Congratulations! What a fantastic happy message. I don't know the answer but imagine call Rh asap. Take care of yourself and enjoy the ride - life will never be the same
