Happy Victoria Day!! Hope we all have a sunny beautiful long weekend.

The Victoria long weekend is something I always looked forewards too, even as a child. Victoria day always marked the first day of summer and my birthday. So I hope everyone is painfree and has sunshine!! Let's all enjoys the first long weekend of summer!!

It really blows my mind that you Brits don't celebrate Queen Victorias birthday. It's considered the 1st summer camping, or vaction weekend here.

Hi Suzannedale,

Hopefully it is sunny where you are? It was lovely here yesterday in Toronto but today it is raining. My son and I went to buy the plants this afternoon even though it was raining. My granddaughters love to choose the flowers and I bought tomatoes and a strawberry plant. The squirrel's will probably eat the strawberries. They are all getting well watered in the rain.

Hi Susan. So sorry to hear that it was raining in Toronto this long weekend. It was hot an sunny in Vancouver. I actually got a sunburn!!!

I seem to recall that you just moved to Toronto, but I can't remember if this will be your first Toronto summer. If it is, you will be wishing for rain in the summer!! Toronto summers are hot & dry. So invest in sunscreen & an air conditioner.
