I have severe COPD and have not found a support group in my area. I decided to turn here for some support

Welcome Jonsey. We do have quite a few members who live in the US though I'm not sure any have COPD. Most of us here live in the UK & I do know one or two members also have COPD but any recommendations they have wouldn't be of use to you, that is unless you're willing to travel! I think you'll need to give the area you live in, we wouldn't necessarily know whereabouts you would find a group over there.

You could ask on the HU British Lung Foundation site. Even though it's another UK based charity they may have members from the US who could help healthunlocked.com/blf. Or, is there an equivalent US site you could ask on?

I hope you find a group to join, they can be very helpful, meeting others in the same boat.

Is your COPD RA related or a standalone condition for you?

We may be able to answer some of your Qs and will be willing to if we can.

There is the US forum for RA and other arthritis sufferers called Creaky Joints which may also be able to support you.

HU has a forum called British Lung Foundation, I am sure they would welcome you, with many suffering from COPD, they are a friendly bunch. All the best. X
