Hi everyone. I am new here. I was put on MTX when I was diagnosed with RA earlier this April. Initially I struggled with starting my RA meds when I learnt of its far-reaching effects. I was terrified. My well meaning friends and family did not help to make my decision-making any easier. I delayed starting my RA until 2 weeks later. Eventually, after a bit of internet and soul searching, I took the plunge. MTX worked almost immediately relieving me from the pain and stiffness on my joints. It is not easy for me to make that decision and it is probably the same for some of you too. Knowledge is indeed power. Knowing that I can have the support of the people here is very encouraging. Cheers!
