Side effect??

Hi all, I've been on Hydroxychloroquine for 2 weeks seems to be going ok apart from heartburn. Is this a normal thing and will it go or should I see GP? Thanks in advance 😀

I take hydroxychloroquine as one of my cocktail of many meds daily.

I used to get the most awful acid reflux but then my GP prescribed me omeprazole which has stopped it happening all together. I take one in the morning before my other meds.

I cant say which drug exactly was the cause of the acid reflux or whether it was a combination of any of them but it certainly worked well,and still does.

There are other tablets in the omeprazole family which may be better suited to you, but your GP would advise on that.

Heartburn is an unpleasant side effect of some meds but can be easily rectified.

Hi there. I've been on HXQ for 3 years and I always take it after food and drink a large glass of water with it. So far no problems with heartburn.
