why do i feel pins and needles in my hands legs neck

Hi all,

am new here. I have been having pins and needles in my hands neck and legs . Also some numbness in my toes .I have implants on my spine since 2013. Now why am having this pins and needles.

Hi there 75semoc

It is worth asking your GP about this. Sometimes, inflammation in the joints can push on the nerves, causing symptoms such as numbness and tingling (this is sometimes referred to as neuropathy), so it may not be a direct symptom of RA but could be related, though of course there can be other causes as well, including side effects to some medications.

Have a look at the related posts (top right hand side of screen) too as these offer some great advice.

Hopefully your doctor will be able to get to the bottom of what's causing this.

Hi 75semoc do you have the pins and needles during a flare up? Reason I ask is cause I got that quite a bit when had constant flare ups. The specialist told me it was normal due to the inflammation of the nerves in the flare up areas. I also had what felt like sharp shooting pains too.
